Class Meeting 29-11-22 - Manus

Attendance:  Zach, Kája, Manus, Olivia Group leader: Olivia Discussion before talking to Phil: Before our class with Phil we met to discuss where we are and what we needed to move forward with. Our main discussion was in relation to how we could implement the core feature of displaying information in real time. As advised by Dr.Ingo. We sketched a few rough ideas but struggled to implement them to our current designs.  Discussion after talking to Phil: After talking to Phil he advised us to take a step back and look at our project as if we starting afresh. We had a quick chat and decided that we all needed to draw up some brand new prototypes and to test them. Three of us had to go film for another module and Zach stayed back to work on prototypes. To do: -Take a step back and try and figure out the various problems with our idea and how we can fix them. -Rapidly create and test several prototypes

15-11-2022 - Class feedback - Karolina

Attendance:   Kaja, Manus, Zach, Olivia Group leader:  Kája Meeting Notes: start testing prototypes make it exciting scenic/historical routes more fitness oriented interesting idea, test it is it solving the problem or is it just an interesting feature? watch too much detail on the watch face figure out how to show the map - does it have to be a map? - compass, other solutions a buddy changeable maps/themes create a solution that becomes a part of somebody's life a tree could be planted after every 15 km walked - needs more thought other features cheaper bus tickets points - rewards, competing with friends different age groups might not be as competitive  also consider weather (for walking, cycling) - one of the possible features? ask people what is important to them Manus's prototypes the tree is interesting can you incorporate it into other features? anything that's alive the Forest app set a timer for how long you want to work on the app on your phone, if you fail...

08-11-2022 - Class meeting - Karolina

Attendance:   Kaja, Manus, Zach Group leader:  Zach Meeting Notes: various options for traveling - making choices in the app the goal is to create something people  want to use , they will get something from using it our  target group : anyone who drives a car, interest in health and fitness 17 - 65 years old, but mainly car owners students - more interested in the money aspect older users - more interested in health and fitness -> find out their priorities -> possibly a short questionnaire when logging into the app for the first time? -> a possibility to personalize the app Google maps loads of useless information (restaurants,...) think about how the data will be presented to the user Role play  -> put yourself in the place of the user

Other Possible Features - Zach

Pets: For extra engagement, give the option to add a pet of some kind to the game which is fed and exercised by walking or cycling. Examples of this kind of pet engagement would in Tamagotchi's or Nintendogs. This would obviously be more appealing to the younger part of the target audience, but it would be another reason to return back to the application daily. This could also be viewable in the watch, perhaps the pet moving with you on the map when walking to the shop etc. Themes for Maps: To make the map feature more interesting, we could implement different themes you could change it to as well as the regular map view (default like Google or Apple Maps). Examples of different themes could be underwater, desert, arctic, space, etc. These would make it look like your travel route is going through a particular theme. Again, this could probably be more interesting for the younger target audience, but would be a fun feature to increase engagement. Planting Trees: Another possible ide...
